Dr. Adam Cox
Dr. Adam Cox, OD lives and works in his hometown of Atlanta, Texas. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Baylor University. He then earned his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Upon graduation in 2012, he returned to Atlanta and began practicing optometry at Family Eye Care Clinic. His practice provides full scope optometric care in a rural setting. Dr. Cox maintains a license to practice therapeutic optometry in both Texas and Louisiana. He is an allied provider at Willis Knighton Health System in Shreveport, Louisiana where he provides Authorized Ophthalmic Surgical Procedures for his patients. In 2022, he was named Young Optometrist of the Year by the Texas Optometric Association. He currently serves as Secretary-Treasurer for the Texas Optometric Association. He also serves as Vice-President of the East Texas Optometric Society. When not providing patient care, Dr. Cox stays involved in both the community and his church. He currently serves on the Atlanta Economic Development Board and has previously served on the Atlanta Hospital Foundation, the Atlanta Education Foundation, and was the Chairman for the Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2022, he was awarded Man of the Year by the Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Cox enjoys the outdoors during his free time and any time he gets to spend with his wife Jennifer and their three children Luke, James, and Olivia.
